Lagets egna Statement

"People crave for money, people crave for fame and glory, but most of all people use people to achieve their own goals. When you then stand there with nothing after all the time you have put down, you can't help but feel sad and be filled with anger.

Vitriolic promised us things they couldn't keep. Daniel and Erik had exams but still focused a lot of time on the game because of that promise. We should have known that it was all in vain from the start. Now to the actual facts;

They PROMISED us salaries if we came top 2 at slap which was quite an achievement considering the teams that went there. After the event after they brought in their current 1.6 team they started saying (Roger especially) that Source was a dead game that had no future. After a meeting it was clear that they had the intention of kicking us and today we got the call.

This is by far the worst kind of act from an organisation I've ever experienced, but I hope people will now realize that it's an organization filled with hypocrites and liars.

However, we wish to thank Nordy and Martin. They were both awesome during our stay and we appreciate all they did for us. And especially to you nordy, you are the kindest man we have ever spoken to and you cared a lot about us. We have heard some rumors of how hard you have had it because of Roger, and we are all really sorry and hope you sort everything out because you deserve it more than anyone else. That's all.

As much as we are angry and sad at the moment we have this renewed passion, we want to become better, practice harder, and reach the spot as the best team in Europe.

We are currently looking for a new organisation to take us under their wings, you can reach us at either hjulafton@helblinde.se or in our new channel #promisekeepers at quakenet.

We keep what we promise.
"

Detta leder oss utsökt till nästa topic, nya lagnamnet. Laget finns fortfarande och dom går under namnet ' PROMiSEKEEPERS'. Roligt namn? Ett litet smil vart det i alla fall :).

Roger, CEO i Vitriolic statement (wall of text + skitsnack2k9) cadred

"It saddens me that the Swedes have reacted to this with such a bitter statement. The truth is that when we decided to pick them up there was no agreement on a salary, just that all expenses would be fully covered. Then after the TeX event, they were reluctant to sign a contract with us and we soon discovered that they felt they deserved a salary. I have countless times explained to the players that unfortunately the css scene at the moment is not attracting the big title sponsor that would allow me to give them salaries. We did say however that if they kept their game up and placed well at future events that we could discuss the possibility of a salary. I admit that is probably something we should not have said in hindsight, but it was not meant to be deceptive. The problem is that I feel that most of the players in the team are stuck with “the CGS mentality” - They are the best and deserve more and more no matter what you give them. Its like the expression, you give a hand, they take an arm.

I’d also like to point out that the entire time they were with us nothing was held back from them at all. They received the best treatment at LAN events staying in nice hotels, having all their transport, food, pc’s and problems taken care of with everything paid upfront by the org. I know other top organisations that make their players pay for everything out their own pocket, get sent to lan in a different country without a manager to help then get around and are expected to show receipts of everything once they arrive, then only land up getting reimbursed about 2months later.

The facts are that when we sat down together in management and looked at the numbers, we discovered that we have spent a ridiculous amount of money trying to sustain a css team that unfortunately is not bringing us a revenue as our contracts with sponsors are directly linked to other teams in the org. With prize money being so low and us taking a tiny percentage off winnings, our costs for sustaining a css team where not feasible at all. This fact combined with the sentiment that our efforts towards the css team where being taken in vain and that no matter what we did for them it wasn’t enough , we decided to remove them.

It is unfortunate for a team like this to leave so dramatically, and so unnecesarily in the public eye, but we sincerely wish them the best of luck in the future, and apologise for any unintentional communication errors.
